Why is RAW gray and faded

Posted on August 11, 2022 by admin

A RAW file is a cast from a camera matrix that has not undergone any processing inside the camera.

On the camera screen, you see a JPG version of the captured RAW file. The camera will save the picture to the flash drive in the format specified in the camera settings.

Therefore, many beginners as opposed to https://www.artlook.us/service/wedding-photo-booths-nyc/  are lost when they see pale gray photographs instead of those juicy shots that the camera showed on its display.

And to return the former juiciness, RAW needs to be converted to JPG, TIFF or transferred to Photoshop for deep processing.

Anticipating the question.

Manual RAW conversion is head and shoulders above what the camera does automatically. But for this you need to be able to use RAW conversion programs.
